Volunteer

Help make a difference. Here are some areas where people are
needed to advance the cause for more passenger trains.

e need a few who will meet with lawmakers and

community

leaders in person. It

is easier than it sounds

and a great way to participate directly in our

democracy. We usually go in groups of two or three.

Amtrak stations at Oklahoma City, Pauls Valley, and

Ardmore need a

cadre of volunteers to provide

passengers assistance and

information. Volunteer

once a month or more often. Lists forming

now.

Passionate about passenger trains? Help spread the

word to the

public about what rail's role can be in our

Oklahoma transportation

system. Help with

presentation to civic groups, neighborhood

organizations, and other interested parties. Help staff a

booth at

fairs and trade shows.

Write an article for the newsletter, stuff envelopes,

manage a telephone list to respond to action alerts.

Nominate yourself for a position on the board of the

organization or for one of the officers, President, Vice

President, or Secretary-Treasurer. Elections are held

each December.
